Acceptable Use and Academic Integrity

EssayOps is designed to support student-authored work. This page states the launch-phase rules for responsible use of the product.

Updated March 13, 2026

Student Authorship Comes First

Students must remain the authors of every application, essay, and submission they send to a school or scholarship program. EssayOps can support planning, diagnosis, revision direction, and workflow, but it does not replace the student as author.

Allowed Uses

  • Reviewing draft structure, evidence, clarity, and school-fit signals.
  • Generating first-pass revision priorities and planning next steps.
  • Organizing application context, deadlines, and school-specific considerations.
  • Using outputs as a drafting brief while the student writes and verifies the final version.

Not Allowed

  • Submitting EssayOps output as if it were fully student-written when it is not.
  • Using the product to fabricate experiences, achievements, quotes, metrics, or source material.
  • Uploading third-party content you do not have permission to use.
  • Trying to bypass school, scholarship, or testing rules that limit AI-assisted work.

School Policy Still Controls

Different schools and programs set different rules. If a school or scholarship program has stricter AI restrictions than this page, follow the stricter rule.

Before you submit anything, verify facts, confirm the writing still reflects the student's real voice, and make sure the final draft complies with the relevant application policy.

Enforcement

EssayOps may suspend access, remove content, cancel support, or refuse service when it reasonably believes the product is being used to misrepresent authorship, violate school rules, or abuse the platform.
